Great News

If you haven't already heard I apologize you have to find out through this blog. As most of you already know; we are expecting our first child!
We had the first diagnostic ultrasound and everything looked good. The heart is beating, all limbs are growing as they should and they confirmed it's not twins :)

Third week of our trip - Mission San Juan Capistrano

We had a tour of one of the missions of California; San Juan Capistrano. It's said to be one of the most beautiful missions. And in addition to being a great historic site and learning experience it's also still an active church! Some of the pictures didn't come out real good but they still give an impression of the site.

Third week of our trip - Tourist attractions

It's been a while since I've posted anything. Things have been kind of crazy coming back home and getting straight back to work and normal everyday life. I came across some more pictures of our stay in California. We decided to do some touristy stuff so we went to see Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Our cousins Steffani and Andy joined us with their daughter Amberlin. It was great!

And to complete this wonderful day we had a really nice dinner at Lawry's, which is famous for it's prime rib.

Third week of our trip - Beaches

For those of you who don't know: California is situated at the west coast of the United States. So there's lots of beaches you can go to. And since "It never rains in Southern California", according to Albert Hammond's song, it's always nice to go to the ocean. So we spent quit some time at different locations along the coast; Dana Point, San Clemente, New Port and Laguna Beach.

This is Dana Point.

This is San Clemente.

We had breakfast at the Beachcomber at Newport Beach.

This is Laguna Beach.

Third week of our trip - celebrating family birthdays

During the third week of our trip we got to see the family again. We celebrated the March birthdays - aunt LeeAnn, Steffanie, Dad and my (belated) birthday. Grandma made us taco's, yummie!

It was nice to see everyone and we met Amberlin for the first time. Of course everyone took turns in holding her :)

Here's us with Grandma and with my cousins Steffanie, Staci, Tonya and Andy.

Second week of our trip - Rodeo

Austin, TX is a great city to hang out in very hip bars and restaurants. There are tons of those.
So we had our share of that. One thing I didn't expect in such a modern city was a Rodeo. I could have know of course, being in Texas 'n' all.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay until the real rodeo began, but we saw a lot of other things like a pig race, a shoot out between bandits and the sherrif and dirt bikers doing stunts. We had a corn dog and Guillaume got hooked on fried snickers.
